Japanese Black Pine Bonsai – LDB51

A mature and characterful Japanese Black Pine (Pinus thunbergii) with an impressive aged trunk, heavily textured bark and an established branch structure.

Standing approximately 40cm from soil level, this is a compact tree with considerable presence. The 6cm trunk has developed the rugged, plated bark so desirable in mature Black Pine, giving the tree an appearance of age far beyond its relatively modest height.

The tree has a well-established framework of primary and secondary branches, with wiring already in place to develop the structure and define the foliage areas. There is good movement throughout the trunk and plenty of healthy foliage for continued refinement.

The combination of compact proportions, mature bark and developed structure makes this a very appealing Japanese Black Pine for somebody looking for an established tree rather than starting with raw material.

Presented in an oval brown bonsai pot.
