Itoigawa Juniper — LDB25

A compact but substantial Itoigawa Juniper with a wide spreading canopy and plenty of established branch structure.

At approximately 21 cm from the soil line to the apex, LDB25 has a surprisingly large presence for its height. The trunk divides into a broad framework of branches, creating a wide silhouette with plenty of foliage positioned throughout the tree.

The initial styling and wiring has already been carried out, establishing the overall direction of the tree while leaving plenty for its next owner to develop. With continued growth and refinement, the individual foliage areas can be tightened and separated further, while the existing branch structure provides a very good foundation to work from.

This is a particularly interesting choice for someone who wants a compact Itoigawa that doesn't feel like a small tree, its width and branching give it considerably more visual weight than its height might suggest.

Personally selected and styled by Andy Mook for Let's Do Bonsai.
