Itoigawa Juniper — LDB24

A compact, well-balanced Itoigawa Juniper with a broad canopy, strong trunk movement and an established bonsai image.

At approximately 22 cm from the soil line to the apex, LDB24 packs a lot of presence into a relatively small tree. The trunk rises with good movement into a wide, spreading canopy, while the lower branches give the tree a strong sense of maturity and proportion.

The tree has already been styled and wired, with the main branch structure established and plenty of healthy foliage available for continued refinement. As the tree develops, the foliage pads can be tightened and defined further to create an increasingly mature image.

Itoigawa (Juniperus chinensis 'Itoigawa') is one of the most sought-after junipers for bonsai, valued for its fine foliage, compact growth and excellent response to detailed styling.

This tree has been personally selected and styled by Andy Mook for Let's Do Bonsai and would suit someone looking for an established, styled juniper that can be enjoyed immediately while continuing to improve.
