Itoigawa Juniper — LDB22

A compact Itoigawa Juniper with excellent movement through the trunk, a well-developed canopy and plenty of character packed into a relatively small tree.

Standing approximately 23 cm from the soil line to the top of the foliage, this is a nicely proportioned bonsai with established branching and foliage pads already in place. The twisting trunk gives the tree a much older appearance and creates interest from several viewing angles.

The tree has already undergone significant styling and wiring, giving its next owner a strong structure to work with. As the foliage develops, there is plenty of opportunity to further refine the pads, improve definition and continue maturing the overall image.

Itoigawa (Juniperus chinensis 'Itoigawa') is highly regarded in bonsai for its fine foliage, compact growth and excellent response to styling.

This tree has been personally selected and styled by Andy Mook for Let's Do Bonsai.
