Itoigawa Juniper — LDB21

A compact and characterful Itoigawa Juniper that has already undergone its initial styling and is now ready for its next owner to enjoy and continue developing.

The tree has good movement through the trunk, a pleasing compact canopy and established foliage pads that give it the appearance of a much more developed bonsai. There is still plenty of scope for future refinement as the foliage develops and the branch structure matures.

Itoigawa (Juniperus chinensis 'Itoigawa') is particularly prized for its fine, compact foliage and its ability to respond extremely well to bonsai techniques. It is one of the classic junipers used for high-quality bonsai throughout Japan and Europe.

This tree has been personally selected and styled by Andy Mook for Let's Do Bonsai, rather than being offered as untouched nursery stock.
