Itoigawa Juniper Bonsai – LDB45

A striking and substantial Itoigawa Juniper with a powerful trunk, excellent movement and significant established deadwood.

At approximately 33cm from the top of the pot, this is a compact tree carrying an impressive 8cm trunk. The strong twisting movement gives the tree an aged, powerful appearance, while the significant shari running along the trunk creates a dramatic contrast between deadwood and the remaining live vein.

A prominent jin extends above the canopy, adding further character and providing scope for additional refinement of the deadwood. The dense Itoigawa foliage has already been developed into defined areas, giving the tree a strong structure to work from.

The combination of its compact height, substantial trunk and mature deadwood makes this a particularly impressive piece of material with considerable potential for further refinement and a future quality bonsai pot.
