Itoigawa Juniper Bonsai – LDB43
A striking Itoigawa Juniper with a powerful compact trunk, excellent movement and established deadwood features.
At approximately 30cm from the top of the pot, this is a compact but substantial tree. The 6cm trunk gives it particularly strong proportions, with mature character, twisting movement and areas of shari adding considerably to the impression of age.
The foliage is dense and healthy, with well-developed pads and an established branch structure. Wiring is already in place, allowing the tree to continue developing and refining its silhouette.
The real attraction is the relationship between the twisting live vein and significant shari, particularly through the main trunk. Combined with the low, powerful stance and dense Itoigawa foliage, it gives the tree considerably more character than its 30cm height might suggest.
Currently presented in a terracotta training pot, leaving scope for a future pot choice to take the overall presentation to another level.
